Role Summary
LBi are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to work within the desktop support team at the London HQ of Europe’s largest digital agency.
We are looking for a 1st2nd Line Desktop Support Engineer to join our fast-paced team located within an old brewery building inLondon. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic individual who would like to start or develop a career in IT Support.
Attitude, energy, general problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn fast on the job are essential, but you must have had experience in a desktop support role and a good spread of skills and experience across the following areas:
- Desktop and laptop hardware
- Windows XP7 – installing, configuring, troubleshooting
- Active Directory – user, group, computer admin; some GPO stuff.
- Exchange 2007/2010 recipient admin
- BES Server 5.02
- Server 20032008 – file permissions etc.
- Symantec Ghost
- Mac OSX – installing, configuring, troubleshooting
- Outlook 2003200720102011 and Entourage
- Blackberries, WP7, Android, iPhones, iPads
- VMWare
- Basic networking
The role involves responding swiftly, flexibly and in a friendly way to a wide range of incidents and service requests from users up to CEO level. Great interpersonal skills with a mature temperament and real user empathy are crucial.
