Role Summary

Role Summary and Purpose:

Within the media department, there are a number of portfolios that contain account teams who handle cross digital clients. Each account team is run by a Digital Account Director (DAD) who reports into the Group Account Director (GAD) who controls the overall portfolio. Under the DAD there are Digital Account Managers (DAMs) of different levels and Digital Account Executives.

The teams are multi discipline, running client business across SEO, PPC, Display, Affiliate, and Social Media. All members of the team are required to understand each of these channels (although the level and detail of this will vary on a client by client basis).

The main purpose of the Digital Account Executive role is to support the account team and successful candidates will receive a personal development plan for how to become Account Managers as their careers progress.

Key Responsibilities:

Team:

• Work directly with DAM / DAD in scheduling and developing deliverables for client campaigns

• Organise and schedule workload to support client deliverables within their cross digital team

• Ensure the timely delivery of all client deliverables

• Plan, organise and develop all client deliverables

• Identify issues/opportunities within client campaigns where appropriate and feedback to relevant Digital Account Managers

• Understand and effectively convey best practice search marketing knowledge and techniques within client deliverables on a continuous basis.

• Manage small client campaigns and take ownership of these independently over time

• Help with the creation and analysis of client reports

Client:

The Digital Account Executive will have day to day client contact and it’s imperative that the Digital Executive manages to:

• Build strong working relationships with clients

• Effectively and confidently communicate with clients

• Identify areas of opportunity for up or cross sell and communicate these clearly to the DAM/DAD to develop a strategy for discussing these with the client.

• Work with other agencies, where necessary, to help produce clear strategies and campaigns

Personal:

• The ability to liaise with other departments internally to the benefit of existing clients

• Develop and agree yearly personal and business objectives with the DAD / GAD

• Agree and work towards your tailored Personal Development Plan

• Manage personal objectives through out the year, communicating progress regularly.

• Complete all Digital and Client Management training workshops to satisfaction

• Understand and convey basic technical principles for Digital Marketing.

• Demonstrate continued increase in knowledge of Digital Marketing

• Participate in team training/meetings and events

• Understanding each of the areas of media that we cover - Display, PPC, Affiliates, SEO & Social Media.

• The level of detail will vary according the specific clients the individual works with within the media team, although a clear understanding of each is expected irrespective of the day to day remit.

Learning +Development:

• Drives own personal development within the cross digital team.

• Responsible for own personal develpment goals and demonstrating commitment to ongoing learning

• Develops cross digital product knowledge of the bigmouthmedia offering

• Development of expertise in at least two bigmouthmedia product offerings

• Actively manages own career progression through continually driving self to develop and improve skills and expertise• Is active is buildling relationships and networking opportunities internally and externally

• Using and learning different tools and systems on a regular basis

• Knowledge of the marketplace, and generally reading up on new areas in the marketplace and keeping up to date with new opportunities.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

We are looking for bright, articulate and ambitious graduates/young professionals who would like to have a career within a fast moving industry. These are some of the skills we would prefer our executives to have – but a positive attitude with an appetite to learn is the most important factor;

• Previous experience in marketing preferred

• Basic knowledge or experience in any aspect of online marketing

• Google Adwords Professional Qualification (Preferred)

• Experience of adserving technology.

• Experience of using planning and consumer research tools including Nielson, Comscore, TGI, Mintel, Forrester

• Analytical approach with strong excel skills
