Based in west London, you will be working for LBi exclusively in the head office of one of the nationÃ?¢ââ??‰â??¢s favourite retailers, playing an essential part in delivering innovative solutions and exciting creative work within well-established brand parameters.
We are revitalising one of our biggest accounts and are looking for talented, committed, fast-working and confident designers to play their part in pushing this account forward and challenging preconceptions, as part of our on-site creative team.
Key responsibilities
This role supports the Senior Designer in driving the creative direction of the team, helping to implement innovative design solutions across a large-scale e-commerce website. You will bring your excellent design eye to every piece of your own work, and guide the more junior members of the team.
Liaising closely with the client as well as senior team, your role will involve the creation and deployment of merchandising graphics across all categories to drive sales. You will also produce other digital assets, eg: for emails. You will be required to help establish design requirements and get sign off from across the business.
You will help to deliver a consistent creative execution, which not only answers the brief but also reflects the design principles and strategy of the brand.
Your role will involve identifying and exploring opportunities for design innovation and creativity across the account.
You will be expected to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of graphic trends and competitive activity in the UK.
You will be tasked with maintaining and evolving the creative guidelines for the online expression of the brand, as well as liaising directly with the brand design studio to ensure a consistent execution across all channels Ã?¢ââ??‰â?¬Å? web, in-store POS and packaging.
You should be experienced in creating multiple executions for multi-variant testing, analysis and debrief.
You will need to be a self-starter, able to confidently and articulately communicate ideas to the client, and work with the onsite
project manager to deliver project on time and within budget.
Additional Skills required
- Experienced (3+ years) web designer from either client or agency background
- Degree-level or equivalent experience
- Strong design skills and portfolio
- A passion for retail
- Proficient in Photoshop
- Confident team-player with excellent communication skills
- Experience documenting web style guidelines
- Ability to accept constructive criticism and drive designs to sign-off
- Ability to communicate with non-designers
- Ability to work with minimal management on multiple projects effectively
- Able to work closely with senior members of the team, both client and agency, to ensure a dependable, efficient workflow is achieved
- Retail /e-commerce experience,
- Flash, HTML & CSS skills are desirable
- Understanding of UX experience, wireframes and user journeys
