Role Summary
The Senior Digital Account Manager is expected to be the main point of contact with the client, working closely with the Digital Account Director to set the strategic direction of the account.
Role Summary and Purpose:
Within the media department, there are a number of portfolios that contain account teams who handle cross digital clients. Each account team is run by a Digital Account Director (DAD) who reports into the Group Account Director (GAD) who controls the overall portfolio. Under the DAD there are Digital Account Managers (DAMs) of different levels and Digital Account Executives.
The teams are multi discipline, running client business across SEO, PPC, Display, Affiliate, and Social Media. All members of the team are required to understand each of these channels (although the level and detail of this will vary on a client by client basis).
The Senior Digital Account Manager is expected to be the main point of contact with the client, working closely with the Digital Account Director to set the strategic direction of the account and identifying upsell opportunities. They will be an expert in at least two product areas of our core five channels.

Key Responsibilities:
Team:
• Delegate jobs and projects clearly and efficiently to junior members of the team and ensure they are delivered on time• Coach and mentor a team on a daily basis providing on-going training from a channel and tools perspective (e.g. excel, PowerPoint, organising and running meetings and so on)
• Work with the DAD and training department to identify which areas of training team members would benefit from• Feed into Executives appraisals and personal development plans• Contribute to developing team process to drive best practice and efficiencies• Keep up to date with marketplace and technical developments and integrate recent search developments into client campaigns• Support DAD team when necessary in the management of Executives and Junior DAMs.
Client:
The Senior Digital Account Manager is responsible for the main day to day client relationship and as part of this would be expected to:
• Build strong working relationships with clients• Effectively and confidently communicate with clients on multiple channels• Sell in new ideas with clear rationale and justification on a results basis• Identify areas of opportunity for up or cross sell and communicate these clearly to the DAD to develop a strategy for discussing these with the client.• Problem solve and trouble shoot when the need arises and escalate as necessary• Work with other agencies, where necessary, to help produce clear strategies and campaigns
Personal:
• The ability to liaise with other departments internally to the benefit of existing clients• Develop and agree yearly personal and business objectives with the DAD / GAD
• Agree and work towards your tailored Personal Development Plan• Manage personal objectives throughout the year, communicating progress regularly.• Complete all Digital and Client Management training workshops to satisfaction
• Participate in team training/meetings and events• Understanding each of the areas of media that we cover - Display, PPC, Affiliates, SEO & Social Media.• Develop strong relationships with key suppliers and ensure a strong reputation within the industry.
Commercial and Operational:
The Senior DAM needs to be commercially aware and contribute to the efficient running of the department.
• Monitoring how much resource is allocated to specific tasks and clients and escalating to the DAD if they believe an account is being over / under serviced•
Planning the use of Digital Account Executives during busy and quiet periods• Support the DAD to ensure team are working towards personal and business targets and KPI’s•
Ability to manage monthly reconciliation and financing of clients – understanding the terms of our business
Learning + Development:
• Drives own personal development within the cross digital team
• Provide guidance to Digital Account Executives / DAMs to facilitate knowledge growth
• Responsible for own personal develpment goals and demonstrating commitment to ongoing learning• Develops cross digital product knowledge of the bigmouthmedia offering
• Develop expertise in at least three bigmouthmedia product offerings• Responsible for supporting team training plan
• Identifies own L&D requirements• Actively manages own career progression through continually driving to improve skills and expertise
• Is active is buildling relationships and networking opportunities internally and externally
• Presents at internal development and knowledge sharing sessions
• Presents to department on client case studies, market trends, etc
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
We are seeking bright, articulate senior account managers with at least 2.5 years experience in working in online marketing. These are some of the skills we would require successful candidates to have;
• Experience in three of the following five disciplines (Display, SEO, Affiliates, PPC or Social Media)
• Experience in other areas such as usability or mobile a bonus
• Google Adwords Professional Qualification (preferred)
• Experience of adserving technology.
• Experience of using planning and consumer research tools including Nielson, Comscore, TGI, Mintel, Forrester• Analytical approach with strong excel skills
