Senior Flash Platform Developer

Role Summary

We're after a Senior Flash Platform developer who's passionate about digital and partial to animated discussions on where the rich web might take us.

You've got a detailed knowledge of the Flash runtime, ActionScript 3 and Flex, but your curiosity has also taken you to other corners of the tech universe. You're hungry to work on projects that will be recognised across the industry, and are focused on carving out a career in a leading digital agency.

That agency is LBi, based in a converted brewery on Brick Lane in East London. We're 350-plus strong, with all the opportunities you'd expect from a larger agency (we have partnerships with a number of technology vendors including Adobe, and we host the Flex London User Group). However, true to our digital roots, we're still very much an agency, not a corporate - the emphasis on creative technology.

Your primary focus will be on delivering AS3-based projects, which are increasingly in the form of longer-term Flex and AIR applications for large clients. Our work also includes rich, complex web applications using standard physics and 3d libraries, through to data visualisation, mobile and desktop application development. Our toolbox includes Flex Builder, Eclipse and Maven. We'd expect you to be able to work with a range of frameworks including Cairngorm and PureMVC - it would be handy if you knew a thing or two about next-generation dependency injection frameworks too. We're big advocates of open standards too, so if you can bring HTML5 and OO JavaScript knowledge with you, all the better.

We have an outstanding roster of clients with a very interesting selection of projects. We plan well, and work reasonable hours (from what we hear, that separates us from most of the pack).

So if you're looking for a change in 2010 we'd love to chat.
