Summary

We are looking for a Senior User Researcher who is passionate about digital to join their User Research team. As an experienced and creative researcher you would be working on a variety of global clients to determine the most appropriate way of engaging with the end user.

You are a commercially aware user researcher who loves what you do. You bring your experience, academic knowledge and motivation to every interaction with colleagues and clients. You are a great user advocate who is flexible and creative in your approach to research design. You have a strong desire to create effective and engaging interactions. You delight in finding new and creative ways to gather data and share that information with design teams and client decision makers.

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Undertake qualitative research and analysis including interviews, focus groups, ethnographic research
  • Undertake quantitative research including questionnaire and design analysis
  • Subject matter expert with the ability to advise clients on all matters relating to customer behaviour
  • Developing and leading client workshops
  • Involved in business development, proposals and pitches
  • Line manage and mentor team members
  • Contribute to industry debate through white papers etc

Skills and Experiences:

  • Academic qualifications in psychology, HCI or related subjects
  • Previous experience in an agency or consulting environment
  • Expert knowledge of HCI principles
  • Previous experience in a digital environment
  • Excellent qualitative research skills including interviews, focus groups and ethnographic research
  • Excellent quantitative research skills including questionnaire design and analysis
  • Strong consultative selling skills
  • Able to develop long-term relationships with clients
  • Able to constantly evolve knowledge of: interaction paradigms and mental models; trends impacting on customer behaviour
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation and written skills
