Based in west London, you will be working for LBi exclusively in the head office of one of the nation's favourite retailers, playing an essential part in delivering innovative solutions and exciting creative work within well-established brand parameters.
We are revitalising one of our biggest accounts and are looking for talented, committed, fast-working and confident designers to play their part in pushing this account forward and challenging preconceptions, as part of our on-site creative team.

Confident and articulate, we are looking for a star player with an excellent eye and proven track record of great digital design. A passionate leader who can apply visual design best practices to an ever-growing, ever-changing, large-scale e-commerce website, and lead a team to do the same. You are the agency's lead representative in the on-site team, and are expected to deliver the very best of what LBi represent in terms of values, behaviors and quality of work.
You will be leading the creative direction of the in-house creative team, working closely with the client design lead, to deliver a consistently outstanding creative executions, which not only answer the brief but also reflect the design principles and strategy of this exciting brand.
You will be accountable for the delivery of innovative design solutions that are ahead of the competition and continually stretching the boundaries. You will be expected to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of graphic and technology trends and competitive activity in the UK.

As a Senior Designer, you will be expected to lead, design direct and guide the design team to brainstorm ideas, select design ideas to progress and supervise the quality of the work to sign-off. You will also need to estimate time frames for briefs, prioritise projects and schedule work with the team alongside the producers.
You will be tasked with maintaining and evolving the creative guidelines for the online expression of the brand, as well as liaising directly with the brand design studio to ensure a consistent execution across all channels - web, in-store POS and packaging. You should be experienced in creating multiple executions for multi-variant testing, analysis and debrief.
You will be responsible for the design the higher profile projects (sometimes working with senior external LBi creatives), as well as produce the day-to-day deliverables with the rest of the team to the highest standards and within brand guidelines. A natural communicator, you will grow close partnerships with the client team and other areas of their business to and establish good working processes. You will attend regular client meetings and report comfortably to the LBi agency team.

Additional Skills required

- Experienced (5+ years) web designer from either client or agency background
- Degree-level or equivalent experience
- Retail/ecommerce experience
- UX experience
- A strong leader with experience running a team
- A collaborative character who respects and communicates with non-designers
- Knowledge of CSS/CSS2
- Confidence to take on full ownership of tasks/projects
- Experience leading a team and mentoring more junior designers
- Strong design skills and portfolio showing real flair and innovation
- Proficient in Photoshop and basic knowledge of Flash
- Experience of content management systems
- Experience documenting web style guidelines
- Embraces creativity, innovation and is open to new ideas
- Ability to work confidently with minimal management across multiple projects
- Used to working to tight deadlines with quick turnaround from brief to go-live
- Experience of working with Agile methodologies (desirable)
- HTML/XHTML and Javascript (desirable)
- Experience creating wireframes and user journeys a bonus
