Role Summary
If you have experience in a User Experience (or related) role and would like to further your career, we would love to hear from you.
LBi are growing the User Experience department and believe that, somewhere out there, super-talented individuals with some experience, keen to further their career, are looking to join our 35 people-strong User Experience department. You will play a crucial part in creating and specifying the user experience for our client solutions.
To start with, here's what we would expect from you:
You are passionate about user experiences - it's neither here nor there if your current professional experiences are in Interaction, Interface, Graphic, Application, or Service design. It's your experience; ideas and passion for how all these things mix together and create coherent, fulfilling and rich cross-media user experiences that we will employ you for. Digital is however where we operate, so we do expect and understanding and passion for that domain.
You have some professional experience - you feel at home in a creative agency environment and are comfortable producing everything from research and personas, user journeys and storyboards, sitemaps and process flows, to sketches and wireframes, detailed user experience specifications and prototypes. You will work for some big name brands on large-scale projects solving some very complex problems. We don't expect a huge portfolio, but what you do have needs to be well considered and compelling.
You have extraordinary attention to detail - for most of your time you'll be hands-on working out and specifying the granular details with the team. You'll need to maintain focus on many small things at once but without losing sight of the big picture (the needs of the end user). We need you to work well in a team but also on your own with minimal supervision.
You thrive in multi-disciplinary teams - at LBi we create solutions as part of highly collaborative teams including our key allies: designers, researchers, technologists, project managers, & business consultants. Some experience of working with other disciplines would be a benefit, but for us it's your attitude and ideas towards collaboration that will set you apart.
You want to continually progress the role of User Experience - We have a great heritage of user experience, and a strong departmental presence within LBi because we keep progressing our thinking, promoting our value and inspiring the each other to keep up with the ever-changing markets we work in. We need you to help us keep ourselves known in the industry as thought leaders in User Experience and to support the recognition as one of the best places to do our kind of work.
