User Experience Architect - Director Level

Role Summary

You'll be shaping project teams, developing strategic relationships with clients and providing direction to the User Experience department as a whole.

Here's what we would expect from you:

You will need to inspire and manage a team - you'll be responsible for setting the strategic user experience direction for at least two of our top 20 clients. This means managing teams of 8-12 user experience architects to deliver first-class solutions, whilst keeping them inspired and motivated. As one of 5 directors there will be the opportunity to take on line-management as well as responsibility for developing the department; reporting into the head of department.

You will be amazing in front of clients - it goes without saying that your client skills are second to none. You'll have daily contact with clients and you really need to come to life in presentations and workshops where our clients will be looking to you for expert advice and thought leadership - you also need to be pragmatic to ensure that we deliver strategic value (not just good UE) to the client's business. You will also be involved in our pitch process, working in multi-disciplinary teams to generate response documents and lead the user experience proposition.

You have done this before - you feel at home in a creative agency environment and find your way in everything from creative briefings to detailed user experience specifications. You will set the direction on work for some big name brands on large-scale projects solving some rather complex problems. There will also be a lot of contact with the LBi executive team, helping to drive forward the proposition of LBi. We believe that only extensive hands-on experience would have given you the operational skills that we are looking for.

You thrive in multi-disciplinary teams - at this stage in your career, your domain knowledge and expertise should be comfortably deep and broad, and you would have worked with most other creative disciplines in project teams. At LBi we create solutions as part of highly collaborative teams including our key allies: designers, technologists, researchers, project managers, & business consultants.  So for us it's your attitude and ideas towards collaboration that will set you apart.

You want to continually progress the role of User Experience - We have a great legacy and strong presence at LBi because we keep progressing our thinking, promoting our value and inspiring the department in order to keep up with the ever-changing markets we work in. You will need to help keep us known in the industry as thought leaders in User Experience to support our recognition as one of the best places to do our kind of work.
