Mid-Weight User Researcher

Role Summary

LBi are looking for a Mid-Weight User Researcher keen to develop their experience as part of our established Research team.

As part of the Strategy & Insight group, the Research team at LBi provide user and market insight to inform the design of digital solutions for a varied range of blue chip clients.

You will be supporting senior team members as well as being responsible for your own smaller projects.

Our varied range of projects can be in depth upfront user discovery using ethnographic methods across multiple countries, to low and hi-fi prototype testing as part of our user centred design process.

You will relish the opportunity to work in collaboration with other specialist teams such as strategy consultants, planners, experience architects, creative designers, project managers, analysts, social media and content strategists.

The role provides the opportunity for a Mid-Weight User Researcher or  Mid-Weight User Experience Architect that wants to specialise in research to develop their career and research knowledge.

Required is experience working in a digitally focused role, with a research element.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting senior team members on more complex projects
  • Designing, conducting, analysis and reporting on your own smaller projects
  • Assisting in the development of new user and market insight services
  • Management of the LBi research laboratory

Requirements:

  • Academic background in human-computer interaction, cognitive psychology or related field preferred
  • Previous work experience working in a digitally focused role, with a research element
  • Knowledge of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), usability principles and user research methods.
  • Some experience of some of the following; survey design and analysis, sample confidence and regression statistics, persona development,  expert usability reviews, conducting usability studies, eyetracking
  • Good project and time management skills
  • Relish working in collaborative multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication skills
