The role

We are looking for a brilliant Senior Planner on the cusp of becoming a Planning Director. Planning at LBi is at the forefront of educating clients about the trends, attitudes and behaviours that will unlock innovative marketing strategies, and drive greater return on investment from digital marketing.

Can you explain the shifting communications landscape to senior clients in simple terms? Do you have enough belief in yourself to create, nurture and sell big ideas? Do you have the emotional intelligence required to inspire the creative process and produce award winning work? Can you create the strategic frameworks that will drive our client’s marketing programmes in the years to come? Can you excite intra- and inter-agency teams with the possibilities of digital marketing?

Skills

  • Educated to at least degree level with significant work experience
  • You will have worked as an Account Planner and can apply integrated thinking to your creative briefs
  • You know how to put digital in the context of the total marketing mix for the Marketing Director
  • You will be comfortable working with a variety of competencies such as Media, Creative, Experience Architects, Analytics, Business Analysts, and account handling
  • Exemplary written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to utilise/mix heterogeneous data sources to create insight in creative projects
  • Appreciation of business strategy projects, especially with regards to Web build projects
  • Knowledge of digital media strategy, including the tenets of search, rich media and banners
  • Practical experience of off-line channels and integrated marketing is an advantage
  • Potent workshop, research and brainstorm facilitator and a real team player
  • Proven track record in new business pitching

  • Numerate and able to visualise the meaning of numbers and generate hypotheses, or draw conclusions

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic stewardship of between 2-3 accounts and occasional new business responsibility
  • Revenue growth through the application and sale of strategic thinking
  • Contribution to the view among clients that LBi is a key strategic partner
  • Growth of the client relationship through the cross-selling of services
  • Increased client satisfaction
