User Experience Architect – Senior Associate

User Experience Architect – Senior Associate

LBi are growing the User Experience department and believe that, somewhere out there, super-talented individuals with 3-5 years of professional experience are looking to join our 25 people-strong User Experience department. You will play an important part in creating and specifying the user experience for our client solutions.

To start with, here’s what we would expect from you:

You are passionate about user experiences – it’s neither here nor there if your current professional experiences are in Interaction, Interface, Graphic, Application, or Service design. It’s your experience; ideas and passion for how all these things mix together and create coherent, fulfilling and rich cross-media user experiences that we will employ you for.

You have done this before – you feel at home in a creative agency environment and you are comfortable producing everything from primary research and personas, user journeys and storyboards, sitemaps and process flows, to sketches and wireframes, detailed user experience specifications and prototypes. You will work for some big name brands on large-scale projects solving some rather complex problems. We believe that only hands-on experience would have given you the operational skills that we are looking for.

You have extraordinary attention to detail – for most of your time you’ll be hands-on (mind open), working out and specifying the granular details together with the team, but sometimes you’ll be called upon to take the lead and manage some of the day-to-day tasks, working directly with a Leader level User Experience Architect. You’ll need to maintain focus on many small things at once but without loosing sight of the big picture (the need of the end user). From our own experience you can’t master this until you’ve worked on many different types of projects and perhaps even for a few different agencies.

You thrive in multi-disciplinary teams – at this stage in your career, your domain knowledge and expertise should be comprehensive and increasingly deep in a few specialist areas. At LBi we create solutions as part of highly collaborative teams including our key allies: designers, researchers, technologists, planners, project managers, & business consultants. By now we expect you would have worked with most other creative disciplines but for us it’s your attitude and ideas towards collaboration that will set you apart.

You want to continually progress the role of User Experience – We have a great heritage of user experience, and a strong departmental presence within LBi because we keep progressing our thinking, promoting our value and inspiring the each other to keep up with the ever-changing markets we work in. We also need to keep ourselves known in the industry as thought leaders in User Experience to support our recognition as one of the best places to do our kind of work.

Does this sound like you?
