World Cup

Friday fun #25

In the few minutes we had while waiting for the rest of the team to arrive we decided to get patriotic (again). Although it didn’t work for last Friday’s game, were hoping a big show of support will do the trick this Wednesday.

COME ON ENGLAND!

Three Lions on our shirt

(And don’t you forget baldy eagle, oval ball playing, time-out taking, fat boys…)

In true English fashion, we were late with our response. The much flouted pre-match banter being taken over with disorganisation, poor technique, panic, disregard for strategy and coarse language. In other words a typical English team performance – ALL PILE IN.

So much for the world famous English wit and charm (to be fair the brief was to be offensive and goading).

The 5 stages of grief (are you listening In-ger-land?)

Dear England

Clearly with too much on there hands, our New York office provided some in depth psychological analysis to help this England cope with the improbably defeat by the USA – clearly in a parallel Universe for deranged dreamers who wear helmets and pads.

After a fine opening shot, this powerful salvo makes its point well, USA are no pushovers:

The 5 stages of grief

As you’d expect from the US: well executed, polished and ultimately pointless piece of bubble gum communication…

Don’t worry USA we’ll be enjoying the match – through finger clad eyes, wincing at every tackle and missed shot as you proove you can actually play [ park the bus ].

Is there a game on?

The World Cup is upon us and we’re so looking forward to it. A month of quality of football for the whole world to enjoy – well maybe not if you’re Irish.

Some one said to me the other day “is there an important game on?”. Yes there bloody is – England vs USA – this Saturday 12th June.

So what does an agency with a London and a New York office do to celebrate the occasion?

Whip up some national pride and pre-match fervour with offensive poster propaganda, then have the looser (that would be with a finger and thumb held to the forehead if you’re from other there – spit) buy breakfast for the entire winning office… Winner takes all – the croissants, bagels, muffins, danish, SAUSAGE sandwich, BACON buttie and coffee – or is that corfee.

So enter the fray LBi New York with a opening shot and historical timeline:

UPDATE:

More USA posters for our London office

A very English reply
